Winters' Expansion DLCs feature the new Shadows of Rose campaign, a third-person story that follows in the footsteps of Rose, daughter of protagonist Ethan Winters who appears in Resident Evil Village as a baby. Sixteen years after the events of the game, Rose finds herself affected by terrible powers that prevent her from having a normal life, and she will have to look for a cure in the same place where it all started. Players will have to visit a terrifying alternate world within the consciousness of the Megamycete colony, where Rose will meet a young woman just like her.

The second new feature is The Mercenaries: Additional Orders mode, which features combat against hordes of enemies and extra characters to play with. Users will be able to control combatants like Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and even the giant vampire Lady Dimitrescu, with a view always above the enemies. Lastly, there's also a new third-person mode that makes it possible to replay the campaign with a camera behind Ethan, similar to Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Resident Evil Re: Verse is an online multiplayer game that was planned to be released alongside Resident Evil Village, but suffered a long delay. In the game, there is the possibility to control some of the main characters of the franchise in disputes within arenas that refer to classic games. Unlike other online games, upon dying, the user can still come back as a zombie or other creature.
