Spider-Man comes to PC with a remastered version; see details and release

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered had its new PC version announced this Thursday (2) during the State of Play, Sony's showcase. The title, previously exclusive to PlayStation 4 ( PS4 ) and PlayStation 5 ( PS5 ), will launch on August 12, bringing the improved graphics of the next-gen console. The game was developed by Insomniac Games, known for series such as Ratchet & Clank and Sunset Overdrive, and marks the arrival of yet another game distributed by Sony to computers.

In Spider-Man Remastered, the player takes on the role of Peter Parker, Spider-Man, in a decisive battle against Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin. After his victory, however, new villains appear across town looking to fill his place, including Mr. Negative, Electro, Scorpio, and Rhino, among others. The game has gameplay that lets you swing your webs freely across Manhattan as you tackle crime in random events, disarm groups of bad guys with stealth, or find your main enemies.

The Remastered version also includes all the DLC packs that the PlayStation 4 ( PS4 ) version were sold separately, a collection called "The City That Never Sleeps". In these stories, the player has the presence of Black Cat, which is mentioned several times in the base game and can unlock new gadgets for combat, as well as extra clothes.

It is worth remembering that a sequel to the game called only Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has already been announced for the PlayStation 5 ( PS5 ), with an estimated release date of 2023. In the reveal trailer, Peter Parker's Spider-Man shares the scene with Miles Morales from the game Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and both are surprised by the presence of the villain Venom.
